I have been assigned to talk to important people around the internet related to this community, and post the information gained here in this topic. This is going to be a great job for me, as I am a great guy to talk to. Well, thats what they say. Before we start, do you know someone important? Do they have a major part in the internet around the general TWZ topic? Well inform us in a topic around here in the forums. I will try my hardest to get as many interviews done as I can! Here goes the first, hey?
I am here with the founder and owner of The Webmaster Zone, Damian Sharpe. We will be talking about the site, how it started and other things in the past.
My questions will be underlined, and Damian's answers will be indented.
Welcome! To get started, can you give us a small intro to your self?
Hey, thanks! Well, I am Damian as I hope you know, and over the past few months I have been working on this website. In the past I have designed professionally websites that have been sold to leaders around the world. I started out just looking onto the internet wondering how it all worked, and that leaded me to learn HTML, then CSS and at this time many other languages and forms. The general interest lead me to it really. I find it 'nice' to know that a few years ago I had no clue what HTML was, or even did. Before I was interested in the internet, and websites in general themselves I was mostly interested in computers (hardware). It really fascinated me. I used to help other people out in my extended family with problems, and it would give me a small 'kick' of enjoyment. This lead me to building computers, building software to run on them and of course the websites and internet.
Great. Now, why did you start up The Webmaster Zone? What lead you to this, 'obsession'?
Well 'TWZ' (for short) was just an idea once I got a grip on HTML a few years ago. There was, and still is no other website like it on the net, providing a community for everything. I find it really 'cool', just to know once the website kick's off we could lead the website community realm on the internet for years to come. The website has been planned over 3 years, in about 300 pages of work. Every detail here is noted by hand. Every logo, image and text you see was already thought of in these pages of mine. I wanted the site to have a good start so this helped me get it off the ground. Now, we just need to start making the site known to the world.
Ok, so tell us about what you want TWZ to become?
One day, I want to see The Webmaster Zone lead the realm of website communities in general. This website, if given enough members will run non-stop night and day, and with this create a huge community. By providing a solid foundation, I hope that this becomes a huge community quickly...
The rest of the Interview will be concluded in Part 2, so look out for it!
I hope you have enjoyed the first interview from 'The Interviewer'
See you later!
